Two Non-Emotional Causes of Anxiety and Depression

The feelings of anxiety or depression isn’t always rooted as expected in an unregulated nervous system from trauma, worrying about the future, or failing to control the uncontrollable. Certain toxins from parasites or heavy metal build up can be the culprits behind your feelings of anxiety and depression. Bi-annual parasite treatments are commonplace in countries like Mexico, Russia and Brazil, but is an essential practice completely unknown to modern medical doctors in the USA.

  1. Parasites

    ree

If you’ve never completed a parasite cleanse, you likely have some type of parasite. Eating raw fish and cooked pork exposes us to them. Raw or undercooked meat (Pork, Beef, Wild Game) can harbor helminths like tapeworms and roundworms.

Raw or undercooked fish and seafood like sushi or ceviche, if not properly handled or prepared, can carry tapeworms and various roundworms.

Unwashed or raw fruits and vegetables can become contaminated with protozoa and worm eggs if grown in, or washed with, contaminated soil or water. Raw aquatic plants like watercress, can be a source of flatworms if grown in contaminated water. Unpasteurized dairy and juices can also be contaminated with protozoa.

Parasite infections can cause a host of symptoms listed below. However, if you have these symptoms, it’s nothing to be alarmed at as there are many simple antidotes.

  • Digestive Problems: The most common symptoms include chronic or unexplained constipation, diarrhea, persistent gas, bloating, stomach cramps, and nausea/vomiting. Some parasites can cause symptoms mimicking Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).

  • Nutrient Deficiencies and Anemia: Parasites feed on the host's nutrients or blood, leading to malabsorption of essential vitamins like B12, minerals like iron, and proteins. This can result in anemia and weight loss, or failure to gain weight.

  • Chronic Fatigue: The body expends significant energy fighting the infection, and nutrient depletion can lead to chronic fatigue, exhaustion, and lethargy.

  • Skin Issues: Parasites can stimulate the immune system to produce antibodies that cause allergic reactions, manifesting as chronic, unexplained skin irritations, rashes, hives, rosacea, or eczema.

  • Muscular and Joint Pain: Some parasites can invade joint spaces and muscle tissues, releasing inflammatory toxins that cause joint and muscle aches.

  • Sleep Disturbances: Insomnia or frequent waking can occur, either due to physical discomfort or anxiety caused by the parasite's activity, which is sometimes nocturnal.

  • Teeth Grinding: Toxins released by intestinal parasites may interact with neurotransmitters, potentially causing anxiety and the involuntary grinding of teeth, especially during sleep

For addressing worms, one of the most widely cited examples is pumpkin seeds. Eating a handful a few times a day for a week will be helpful. Similarly, papaya seeds for their enzyme papain, makes parasites more vulnerable to expulsion. They have a peppery flavor that a tablespoon of can be eaten raw or tossed on a salad.

Finally, raw garlic contains potent sulfur-containing compounds like allicin, which exhibit antimicrobial properties that inhibit the ability of female worms to lay eggs. It’s also an effective cold remedy.

Clearing microscopic parasites requires simple concentrated botanical compounds. Many traditional formula blends utilize a combination of herbs to target the parasites across different life stages (adults, eggs, and larvae) and can be purchased online or at a health food store.

Black Walnut hull is a common ingredient in many modern parasite cleanses with its ability create a hostile environment for various invaders. Wormwood is renowned for demonstrating potent action against specific worms and protozoa. This blend is often paired with clove, which is valued for its ability to destroy parasite eggs. Berberine has also been proven a powerful natural adjunct to parasite treatment.

Remember, parasites thrive on sugar, refined carbohydrates, and compromised intestinal environments, making dietary adjustments paramount. Increasing fiber intake from fruits, vegetables, and whole grains encourages regular bowel movements, which mechanically aids in flushing out paralyzed or dead organisms.

Adequate hydration also supports this flushing process. Finally, introducing high-quality probiotics—beneficial bacteria—is essential. This can be achieved by either eating more fermented foods or by taking a supplement. Because probiotics help restore the balance of the gut microbiome, it strengthening the host's natural defenses, making the intestinal tract less hospitable to pathogenic organisms. Think about parasitic clearance as less about a single cure, but more about a holistic restoration of internal ecological balance.

2. Heavy Metals

ree

The most concerning heavy metals to human toxicity and build-up are generally lead, mercury, arsenic, and cadmium. They’re naturally found in some of the foods we eat, or by absorption of toxic fertilizers and contaminated water.

Anxiety, depression, mental "fogginess," or tremors are symptoms of mercury build up. Frequent fatigue and headaches can be a sign of the presence of cadmium. Irritability and memory loss a symptoms of lead build up.

Rice (especially brown rice), tends to absorb arsenic from pesticide-ridden soil and irrigation water. Seafood like sushi and tuna typically accumulate higher levels of mercury. Shrimp, crab, and seaweed can also contain complex arsenic compounds. While some processed fruit juices have been found to contain low levels of arsenic and lead, leafy greens and grains can absorb cadmium and lead from contaminated soil. Drinking water (especially from wells or pipes made of lead) can contain elevated levels heavy metals.

This is one of the reasons to choose organic produce over conventional when available. But again, heavy metal build up isn’t something to cause alarm.  It can be cleansed out, and a simple change of diet and routine can maintain low body levels.

There are a few ways to rid the body of these toxic compounds. In the event of acute heavy metal poisoning, chelation therapy is the answer and is typically administered intravenously by a medical doctor.

In natural medicine, chlorella, a single-celled green algae, is considered a natural chelator. It’s been shown to bind to heavy metals like mercury and lead in the digestive tract, aiding in their safe removal through stool. A dosage of 6-10 grams per day for 4-6 weeks is recommended for an initial cleanse.

To maintain, repeat every 4-6 months. Additionally, eating sulfur-rich foods like garlic, onions, and cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower) contain compounds that help the body process and eliminate heavy metals. Increasing fiber intake is also proven beneficial.
